markdiesendorfWe are pleased to announce that Dr Mark Diesendorf, deputy director of the Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of NSW, will be speaking at our next Sydney Sustainability Drinks event on Wednesday 09 July 2014.

Participants get the chance to win a copy of Dr Diesendorf’s latest book ‘Sustainable Energy Solutions for Climate Change’

Mark is currently Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute and has previously worked in CSIRO, several universities and the Australian Conservation Foundation, and directed his own company. He has consulted for environmental NGOs, businesses and government organisations in Australia and China.

At the next Sustainability drinks he will introduce his new book ‘Sustainable Energy Solutions for Climate Change’, which presents the case that Australia and many other countries could transition to an energy efficient, renewable energy future based on commercially available technologies and measures. The book shows that 100% renewable energy can be both reliable and affordable. All it needs are appropriate policies to drive the transition.

With Mark’s expertise in sustainable energy and his experience in both the public and private sectors this talk and Q&A session promises to be extremely interesting.

A lucky winner will be taking home a signed copy of his book from this Sustainability Drinks event. Others may purchase it from Mark at the wholesale price (40% discount).
