jmcolour-1We are pleased to announce our October speaker: James Meldrum, Founder of Whole Kids.

In 2005 James Meldrum stepped away from a successful corporate career and created Whole Kids, a business founded on the principles of “profit with a purpose”. Inspired to re-define business and driven by a belief that business is ideally placed to actively solve many social and environmental problems, James and his wife Monica have successfully created Australia’s leading brand of organic snack food for kids.

Last year, Whole Kids became Australia’s first food company to become a certified B Corporation and is one of the Founding Members of B Corporation Australia – joining an inspiring global community of ethical and socially responsible businesses such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Seventh Generation, Etsy and Method.

James is also actively involved in the Conscious Capitalism movement, and is a committee member of Conscious Capitalism Australia. He was recently a guest speaker at the Conscious Capitalism Summit held in Sydney in June where the theme was “Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business”.

Prior to Whole Kids, James spent over 15 years in senior marketing and business strategy roles with many of Australia’s largest corporations. He completed the Williamson Community Leadership Program (WCLP) in 2012, and was previously a Board Member of Environment Victoria and the Yarra Arts Advisory Council.
